1- Can you introduce your company briefly? In which business are you active?

Operating in kitchen equipments sector for 35 years, our company has put its sign under lots of leading project and innovative product. We manufacture both for domestic and international customers throughout the world in our high-technology facility with a 20.000 m2 of closed area.

 

Today, İnoksan is a worldwide Turkish brand. Its recognition differentiates our brand from its rivals. İnoksan succeeded to be one of the leader companies dragging the market share, leading the sector and operating actively in international market by export.

 

As İnoksan, we attach great importance to industrial kitchen equipments. In accordance with our customer oriented approach, we manufacture quality and affordable equipments rapidly and support our products with high-technology machines, equipments and outfits.

 

İnoksan have a wide range of industrial kitchen products including Cookers and Equipments, INOSMART Ovens, Dishwashers and Equipments, İnoksdesign (Banquet Service and Service Lines), Preparation Machines, Exhaust Hoods - Ground Grilles - Oil Baffles, Storage and Stowage Units, Coolers, Service Trolleys and Laundry Machines and Equipments. Moreover, there are also Frima Vario Cooking Center, Blast Chiller, ice machines, meat choppers, food slicers, garbage grinders, espresso and drip pots, dough machines and citrus juicers under Import Products category.

 

 

2- When did you begin to collaborate with tourism sector? Which kind of projects do you carry out for the sector?

 

We started to work together with tourism sector in early 80's, when tourism was boosted. So, tourism is a quite important sector for us. We gained a deep experience in kitchen and banquet service projects and practices while working with tourism establishments on south shores of Turkey. As Turkey has become a tourism centre totally, international tourism brands began to invest in Turkey and established business hotels, especially in İstanbul, and throughout Anatolia to boost cultural tourism. We also have strong partnerships with these international brands.

 

We meet almost all demands of tourism sector in kitchen, banquet service, cool room and laundry systems.

 

 

3- In which tourism project did you participate? (You may give a general figure or share the names of a few important facility.)

 

Since our foundation, we participated in and carried out lots of important projects in tourism both domestically and internationally. At our head office in Bursa, an architect, having 31 years of experience, leads the project team in kitchen designs.

At their first visit to Turkey, especially international hotel brands demanded import products. But after visited our production facilities and learned about our broad service network consisting of 80 service departments, their view of Turkey sector and sense of quality has changed and they collaborated with us to use our cooking groups, dishwashers and ovens in their facilities.

 

We also have turn-key kitchen, banquet service, cool room and laundry projects in different countries as St. Petersburg (Russia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Doha (Qatar), Brazzaville (Congo)

 

4- What is the percentage of tourism in your total business? Do you have further plans for tourism sector?

 

65% of our turnover comes from our own products. We earn the rest from the domestic and international companies whose distributorship is carried out by İnoksan. Tourism constitutes 25% of our total business.

 

 

5- What are the pros and cons of tourism sector when compared to other sectors?

 

When compared to other business segments,  hotel investments differ in some respects as capacity, operation system etc. Tourism sector can offer different solution partnerships by using experiment, product range and design knowledge and the result of this cooperation pleases us.

 

But despite exact opening dates, late orders of the hotels especially on south shores situation interrupts our planning and production schedule.

Another problem is the investors making franchise and management contracts with an international hotel brand. They give importance to the process of receiving approval and start working before the approval comes, but they unfortunately lose lots of time and money.

 

 

6- How did you participate in Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus project? Can you tell us briefly?

Our partnership with DGD Engineering, the executor of the project, gave İnoksan the opportunity of participating in Novotel İstanbul Bosphorus project, whose constructor is Afken GYO.

 

7- What kind of studies did you carried out at this facility? What is the total value of the project?

After İnoksan met with DGD Engineering and Afken GYO and came to an agreement about construction site controls, project, capacity, list of equipments appropriate for the business and convenience to Haccp regulations, a contract was signed with DGD Engineering, as contracting company.

During construction process, convenience of kitchen wall production and installation of equipments were controlled. Together with construction site team, we carried out a careful study on kitchen, cool room, banquet service and bar equipments during all process from transportation to installation. Then Accor Hotels took over the facility, we introduced and passed our products and equipments to cooking team and users. The value of project is nearly 600.000.00 TL.

 

8- Did you offer a special product or service to this facility?  Did you do anything primary?

 

Hotel management will meet their customer with a brand new concept and different tastes at terrace-kitchen under construction.

Project designs are synthesis of the special demands of customers and sectoral experiences of the İnoksan. This project, that is still under construction, will be a first for Novotel Chair.     

 

9- What do you think of Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus? Can you evaluate the hotel as a supplier?

 

Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus will be the first choice for accommodation during work travels, meetings and touristic visits. The hotel is located at the centre of Karaköy and so close to historical places, the Bosphorus and ports. You will feel at home thanks to the gracious personnel, warm and friendly atmosphere and modern design.
